I received the Back to School Special issue of All You magazine to review through Crowdtap. The issue has quite a few recipes to try and the two that I decided to make were the Neat Sloppy Joes and the Mini Chocolate Chip Cupcakes.
First we made the Mini Chocolate Chip Cupcakes. You can find the recipe here.
The boys did most of the work.
I thought they came out really good. I’m not a big fan of things with chocolate chips in them but I really enjoyed them and I think they look cute. We will be having these for the B-Daman party this weekend as well.
After making the cupcakes I made the Neat Sloppy Joes. Connor didn’t help with these and JT only helped at the very end. Since the boys didn’t help I didn’t really take many pictures but I have a few.
These were also really good. Here is the recipe for them. They reminded me of some wrap-ups that I make once in awhile. I cook some ground beef with diced onions and then wrap it up with some cheese in crescent rolls and then bake them. I have to say though that I love the taste the pie crust. I think the pie crust is what makes these so delicious. I will definately be making these again and I might have to try subsituting the pie crust for the crescent rolls in my wrap-ups as well.
