Today is the first official day of Fiesta 2019! With so many events going on I thought I’d share our experience at one of the events last year.
The Festival de Animales at the San Antonio Zoo is perfect for families wanting to have some Fiesta fun.
The zoo is decorated with fun Fiesta decorations for the event. We loved the cute animal Pinatas.
There is also other entertainment throughout the day like this parade that we caught the end of.
Our favorite part of the event was the special animal presentations. The animals they focused on were from Central and South America. One of the tables we stopped at had lots of eggs and feathers to look at. There was also a table that had a small tank setup with a couple of sea animals that you could touch. The boys’ favorite was the Chocolate Chip Sea Star.
Another favorite was meeting Andre the Tamandua.
There was also supposed to be food from the central and South American countries as well but we only saw one table set up. We were hoping for a bit more. Regardless, we still had fun. This is one Fiesta event that is great for kids!
